Dress Guide | Silhouette - mermaid

Silhouette means the overall cut of a gown. It is one of the most important elements to focus on. Not only does it set the mood of the entire gown, the right silhouette also flatters brides’ figures.

Mermaid With seams that is tight and closely follows the curves of body from bodice to to the knees, then dramatically flares out down to the hem.

Mermaid French Chantilly lace gown with Shawl like sleeves. (Wedding dress style no. WD 295)

Mermaid Alencon lace gown with honeycomb soft tulle dresses, featuring open back design. (Wedding dress style no. W 323)

Good for: This is the dress for the bride with a perfect figure.

Bad for: A mermaid dress hugs the belly and the hip, so if you have think belly or fuller/slim hip, avoid this style
